Stands

Buck Valley Ranch has ten custom built hunting stands located at strategic locations throughout the property. These stands have been placed to provide a variety of habitat that will allow hunting the game under varying conditions.

The stands were designed to accommodate two people, the hunter and a guide. But all stands are large enough for three so that a parent and child or husband and wife can hunt comfortably together, while accompanied by their guide.

Each stand has darkened windows on all four sides and most stands are placed to provide shooting lanes in three or four directions. Comfortable chairs on rollers are provided and carpeted shooting platforms are provided at each window.

At each stand there is a spin feeder distributing corn at prescribed times. In addition, when hunters enter the stands we use the spin feeder on our mule to corn those areas near the stand favored by the animals.
